RE:
Storm Safety/Lightening Strikes
This
letter is to reiterate an email that was posted on 9/6/02. When field conditions warrant stoppage of
operations, the following will apply:
·
Terminal Supervisors will, upon receiving direction from the RMOD,
transmit on our Motorola radios that outside operations have been suspended.
·
If Mechanics are in remote areas of the terminal, the Supervisor will
assign the outside Crew Chief to get a vehicle and advise mechanics of the
suspended operations.
·
This procedure applies to the Mid Crew as well.
·
Hangar Supervisors will page the stoppage of operations on both hangar
paging systems.
·
Supervisor will assign the outside Crew Chief to get a vehicle and
advise mechanics that are on the hangar ramps of the suspended operations.
·
The Manager on duty in the hangar will remain in contact with the Tower
if operations are to be suspended.
·
The Manager may also activate the lights at the hangars prior to any
notification from the Tower if they feel it is warranted.
Thank
you,
Russ
